Every assessment begins with an in-depth intake interview to understand the client's developmental history, academic or work performance, medical background, and current concerns. We then employ applicable testing instruments to measure:

Assessment Instruments We Use

We use the most current, widely respected assessment tools in the field, including:

Woodcock-Johnson — Fifth Edition (WJ-V)

Additional instruments are selected and incorporated based on each client's individual needs and presenting concerns.

Your Evaluation Report

When testing is complete, we analyze and score all assessments and prepare a detailed written evaluation report. Reports are typically delivered within 1–3 weeks of the completion of testing and receipt of all relevant documentation. We are responsive to time-sensitive requests.

Every report includes clear, practical recommendations and accessible resources tailored to the client's home, school, or workplace environment. Reports are written to be genuinely useful — not just to specialists, but to parents, teachers, college advisors, and clients themselves.

Post-Evaluation Conference

After the report is complete, every client receives a post-evaluation conference — in person or virtually — with Debbi and Dawn. This is your opportunity to review every finding in plain language, ask every question you have, and leave with a clear understanding of what comes next.

Parents and guardians are always included in post-evaluation conferences for children and teens. Student participation is encouraged when developmentally appropriate.

Insurance & Fees

Psychological & Educational Testing Specialists is an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance companies directly. However, you may be eligible for reimbursement through your insurance plan. We provide all necessary documentation to help you submit a claim to your insurance company.
